This Privacy Policy explains what information the MEPCO Bill website (mepcobilcheck.com.pk) handles when you visit it and use the bill check tool.
Information you enter in the bill check tool
- You do not need to create an account or give your name, phone number or CNIC to use this website.
- The reference number or Customer ID you type into the bill check tool is not saved on our server.
- When you press Check Bill, the number is copied to your device clipboard and the official bill portal opens in a new tab. A reference number is also passed to the official portal in the link that opens.
- If you tick “Remember this number”, your reference number is saved only in your own browser on your own device, so that it is filled in on your next visit. You can remove it by unticking the box and checking a bill again, or by clearing your browser data.
Log data
Like most websites, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the time of your visit. We use this information only to keep the website secure and working properly.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
At present this website does not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking for visitors. If we add such services in the future, for example an analytics tool or an advertising network, those services may use cookies, and we will update this page to explain it.
Third-party websites
Our bill check tool and some of our links take you to other websites, such as the official bill portal (bill.pitc.com.pk) and the MEPCO website (mepco.com.pk). Those websites are run by other organisations and have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Children
This website provides general information about electricity bills and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
